A Day in The Life of a Disability Influencer

A Day in The Life of a Disability Influencer

October is Spina Bifida Awareness Month and we want to highlight Tru Faces Ambassador Ryley with a day in the life. Ever wonder what a disability influencer does in a day? Let's take a look inside the life of Ryley Fritz to answer this question.

Hello everyone! My name is Ryley and I am an Instagram influencer that has Spina Bifida. I am an ambassador for many brands including Tru Faces. Each day looks a bit different for me but here's one of the many possibilities.

I wake up typically around 9am but if I have school I wake-up around 5am. I start with my medical routine and get dressed which usually takes anywhere between 30 minutes to an hour. After I finish getting dressed, I transfer into my wheelchair to go brush my teeth and hair. Then its on to taking my medicine and doing my makeup or skin care depending on the day.

Today, I chose to do makeup and make a tutorial for the look I did. I got some work done for my page @SpinaBeautybyRy on Instagram and around noon I ate lunch. After lunch, I went live to answer any questions that my followers had on brands that I work with.

This week has been little different than usual because not only do I have videos to post, I have to model for the adaptive lingerie company Liberare as well. I spent the week making reels on Instagram and did a live talking about two of their bras. I explained how and why they are adaptive, as well as sharing what their products are all about. I also taught a virtual makeup for other ambassadors.

To continue my afternoon, I did some research for the sign language class that I teach to find a video for Deaf awareness week! Then it was time to do my medical routine again around 1pm. I had my annual meeting for Runway of Dreams KSU. We got a run down of what we need to do this month in order to get ready for our adaptive fashion show in the fall. Then I watched YouTube and scrolled on Instagram to catch up on what my friends were up to. Typically I will then eat dinner around 8pm and this evening we enjoyed some spaghetti. I usually try to go live again for a little bit before more evening medical stuff and getting my pjs on.

Thank you for joining my in a "day in the life". That's my day in a nutshell!
